Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 20 April 2025 · Effective: 20 April 2025
Please read these terms carefully before booking or attending any Heritage Compass service. By making an enquiry, booking a session, or subscribing to any Heritage Compass offering, you agree to the terms set out below. These terms are written in plain language and are intended to be clear and straightforward for all clients.
1. About Heritage Compass
Heritage Compass is a document-organisation and educational services provider operating in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Our registered address is 63 Charoenrat Road, Wat Ket, Mueang Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai 50000. We can be reached by telephone at +66 87 916 3254 or by email at [email protected].
References in these terms to "we", "us", or "our" mean Heritage Compass. References to "you" or "the client" mean the individual or household booking or receiving our services.
2. Nature of Our Services
Heritage Compass provides document-organisation sessions, educational reading materials, and family documentation workshops. All services are informational and organisational in nature.
- We do not offer financial advice, investment guidance, pension planning, estate planning, or legal advice of any kind.
- We do not interpret the content of any document, letter, or correspondence belonging to a client.
- We are not regulated by any financial, legal, or healthcare authority in Thailand or elsewhere.
- Nothing presented during our sessions or in our reading materials constitutes advice on which a client should rely for financial, legal, or personal decisions.
- Clients are encouraged to consult qualified professionals for guidance specific to their personal circumstances.
These limitations apply to all three of our current services: the Pre-Retirement Paperwork Sorting Session, the Retirement Reading Bundle Subscription, and the Family Documentation Workshop.
3. Booking and Confirmation
Bookings are made by submitting an enquiry through our website contact form or by telephoning us directly. A booking is not confirmed until Heritage Compass has sent a written confirmation by email, stating the date, time, location (for home-based sessions), and agreed price.
- All home-based sessions take place at the address provided by the client at the time of booking.
- Clients must be present — or have an authorised household member present — for the duration of any home-based session.
- Workshop bookings may accommodate multiple family members at no additional charge, as set out in our service description.
- We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion, in which case no charge will apply.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿) and include any applicable taxes. Current prices are:
- Pre-Retirement Paperwork Sorting Session: ฿3,600 per session

Rescheduling by the client
- Clients may reschedule a session up to 48 hours before the confirmed date without charge, subject to our availability.
- Rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours' notice are treated as cancellations at our discretion.
Cancellation by Heritage Compass
- If we need to cancel a confirmed booking, we will notify you as promptly as possible and issue a full refund within 7 working days.
- We accept no further liability for costs arising from a cancellation on our part (for example, travel arrangements made by the client).
6. Subscription Terms
The Retirement Reading Bundle Subscription runs for six calendar months from the date of the first dispatch.
- Reading parcels are dispatched every two weeks to the postal address provided at the time of subscription.
- It is the client's responsibility to ensure the delivery address is correct and accessible. Heritage Compass is not responsible for parcels that cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or inaccessible address.
- The optional monthly reading-circle sessions are offered as a courtesy. Heritage Compass reserves the right to amend the format, frequency, or platform of reading-circle sessions with reasonable notice.
- Subscriptions may not be transferred to a third party without prior written agreement from Heritage Compass.
- Early cancellation of a subscription: if a client wishes to cancel before the six-month period concludes, a partial refund will be calculated on the basis of parcels not yet dispatched, less an administrative fee of ฿800. No refund is available once the final parcel of a subscription period has been dispatched.
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to the following responsibilities when engaging Heritage Compass services:
- To provide accurate information when making a booking, including a correct address and contact details.
- To ensure that a suitable and safe working environment is available for any home-based session (clear table space, adequate lighting).
- To retain sole possession and control of all personal documents throughout any session. Our assistants will not take custody of any document.
- To inform us in advance of any specific access requirements so that we may make appropriate arrangements.
- To treat our staff with courtesy and respect. Heritage Compass reserves the right to end a session immediately if a member of staff is subjected to abuse or unreasonable conduct, without refund.
- To use reading materials provided through our subscription for personal, non-commercial study only.
8. Our Responsibilities and Limitations
Heritage Compass takes care to deliver each service with patience and attentiveness. However, our liability is limited as follows:
- We do not accept liability for any decision made by a client on the basis of materials read or discussed during a session. All content is educational and organisational only.

- Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the provision of a service is limited to the amount paid by the client for that specific service.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses of any kind.
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Thai law.
9. Intellectual Property
Reading materials included in the Retirement Reading Bundle Subscription are sourced from educational publishers and publicly available sources. Heritage Compass holds appropriate licences or permissions for the materials it distributes where required.
